This was the first time in my life when I had to take driving lessons. I was a bit sceptical about it initially but then some one recommended DRTN to me and I met Paul; smart, experienced and patient. I had about 15 hours of training (training time depends on how many bad habits you have)with Paul and I passed my test. Learnt with Paul using hand controls!  Despite the questionable taste in music…he was really patient and really goes above and beyond. Fantastic listener and really cares about what he does and who he works with, (even after you’ve passed and you’re clueless why your cars making funny noises). Lessons are adaptive beyond the hand controls- especially when you can’t tell your lefts and rights 90% of the time, and is guaranteed to have you laughing almost every lesson.  Couldn’t have done it with anyone else!

A semi-paralysed tetraplegic after a severe spinal injury, Paul Whitburn got me mobile. He discovered what I was capable of, defined what I needed and found the adapted vehicle that matched. He then taught me to drive it, and so gave me my freedom – I can now drive myself wherever I want. He really cares about his clients and what he can do for them. Worth every penny.

Apologies for the late review. (Passed a month ago, after 7 years, 3 previous rubbish instructors). Paul was a great instructor. Had a holistic approach towards driving as my learning process is a little different. We managed to build a great rapport, meaning that if I didn’t understand something I could tell him comfortably and he’d find a way a different tactic to fix the problem. Wish I’d known about the company from the day I started to drive. Thanks again, DRTN 🙂
